Dear UUFNW Members and Friends,
Our Board is very excited to have taken the next steps in making the vision passed by our congregation a reality. This involves a process by which the Board takes on ongoing responsibility for strategic planning, and is constantly looking three years into the future to do so.
The three-year strategic plan passed by our Board is available at http://bit.ly/UUFNW3yearplan2020 (or just click on the button below). This plan is in an ongoing state of evaluation and revision, and the Board is always open to feedback from UUFNW members about the specifics of the plan going forward. The Board is committed to keeping our membership informed about how the plan grows and changes over the years.
As part of our plan for growth, we are currently seeking a grant from the Central East Region Chalice Lighters program to fund a part-time membership coordinator. This person would have the primary responsibility to help newcomers to our community find meaningful connections among us. As part of this application, the congregation is required to approve the strategic planning of the congregation in order to show broad support for the ways in which it is being outlined.
In an effort to meet this requirement, we will need to hold a very brief congregational meeting on Sunday, February 23 at 11:30am to vote on the motion below. We require at least 25 adult voting members to be present for a quorum to exist.
Please let Steffani ([email protected]) know if you can make it to the meeting. If you have any questions, contact Steffani or Rev. MIchael (revmichaeltino@gmail.com).
Yours in faith,
Steffani Brandenburg, President
for the Board of Trustees

Motion for the Special Congregational Meeting
Whereas the UUFNW membership approved a mission and vision statement to guide our strategic planning process in May, 2019; and
Whereas the ongoing strategic planning function of the Fellowship is the role of the Board of Trustees, who have created a rolling three-year strategic plan; and
Whereas successful planning for the future requires the investment of the full membership of UUFNW,
Be it therefore resolved that the congregation affirms the work of the Board to date and the strategic planning model they have adopted for use in applying for grant funding.
