UUFNW 2022/23
Stewardship Campaign

 Dear Beloved Community,

Our world continues to challenge us. We are finding new ways of being, and being together, in response to the pandemic, to climate change threats, to conflicts in our country and beyond our borders. Being a part of a community has never been more important.

The UUFNW is a covenanted community. We create intentional relationship with each other to engage in our common mission of love, seeking truth and justice, and supporting each other in our spiritual journeys.  Every year we renew our covenant when we pledge support with our finances, time and energy.

We embark on this Stewardship campaign as the path before us is unlike any we have seen for 15 years. This summer, our beloved minister, Michael Tino, will leave us and move on to new adventures. We need to begin now to prepare our welcome for a new minister. Prospective ministers will look both at who we are as a community, and what type of financial compensation we can offer. They will consider how we manage volunteer engagement, and whether we are able to sustain our physical home. As our first step toward the future of the UUFNW, we need to recommit ourselves to each other during this pledge campaign.  This year, we will all be asked for both a financial pledge and a written commitment to volunteer in some area of Fellowship life. That commitment can be commensurate with our abilities given the busyness of our lives, distance from Mt. Kisco, or challenges with mobility. Like finances, some may have more time to give or easier access than others. But all of us can do something throughout the year, be it serve on the board, give input on a ministry team, or greet people and make coffee after services, when that is again possible.

The priority of religious or spiritual communities in people’s lives throughout the country has diminished. We are fortunate to now have a unique opportunity to create a community with a new minister that might reach people where they are in their spiritual journey and search for a supportive community.  That’s exciting! The amount of money we raise during this pledge campaign will inform our ability to do this. Finances are key in attracting dynamic ministers, determining a full versus part time position, and informing us as to how able we  are to maintain our building and property. Team Effort Achieves Miracles!

Please Pledge Now

Our goal is to raise at least $183,000 through pledges to support a full time minister.
Pledging NOW is urgent as we need to post the position soon as either full or part time.

There are 3 ways you can make your pledge before March 16th
  • on our website. Click on the Pledge Here button below
  • by email to our treasurer at UUFNWTreasurer@gmail.com
  • by putting a pledge card that will be at the Fellowship in the basket
