Become a Chalice Lighter and join with the other generous Unitarian Universalists throughout the UU Central East Region who made it possible for us to receive a $20,000 grant to hire our new Membership and Outreach Coordinator, Marion Henderson. If you are already a Chalice Lighter, we are very grateful for all you have done to make this possible.
The Central East Region Chalice Lighter Grant Program pools small, regular contributions from UU’s like you throughout the Region, from the New York border on the east, to Ohio on the West and West Virginia, Delaware, and Maryland on the south. These contributions are used to make $20,000 and $40,000 grants to congregations or clusters of congregations that have projects that will help them grow in size or impact of their ministries.
The suggested pledge is $20 per individual ($40 per couple) paid three times a year but amounts of any size will help light the flame. You may sign up and pay online or by mail. Three times a year you will receive a reminder and a copy of The Spark, the Chalice Lighter Newsletter highlighting the projects that your contributions make possible.
